the end of the 1st week

i remember what was once said about great teachers, vague
as that recollection may be. Great teachers inspire.
and hopefully i am on that track, not because i seek greatness
but because to inspire a person to be more than what he
ever dreamt he could be is the best present you can give to
one. it is not the lessons of factual knowledge that one
gains that should be prized above all else, but to meet
the slow plodding of life and time with love and tenecity.
to realise that grades never replace the right way in which
to deal with a situation which takes many many forms. to
realise that we can be wiser from our mistakes and we do
not beat ourselves over it. hopefully those are the lessons
which are caught by the students i teach.

so as i begin my second week i realise things have made my
first week eventful and exciting. haha. me railing at the
boss for his perceived buck passing and incompetencies. a
student puking in my class. getting the attention of the
students. as well as understanding and working with my
colleagues whether they be in my department or another.
resolving the issue of my work and pay. yup things have been
interesting. its a challenge to teach 2 subjects but i
am most thankful. because in this situation i realised God
actually knew that i would get bored repeating myself so
many times that he has given me variety. also i appreciate
the challenge. then also i'm starting to have a different
view of my colleagues when i figured that each has their
own stories to tell. thankfully its just not my nature to
prod, things come out naturally.

well hopefully i can post some pictures soon. meet vonne.
and any1 else who wants to hang out with boring me. quite
funny some of my students are quite fast and smart so they
are friendstering me already. i'm flattered but i could do
with less attention, scrutiny unnerves me. haha seriously.
well thanks God for your grace and wisdom, and please give
me more in the weeks to come. i'll need it!
