'early' book out but better than nothing

the day came... i've completed my cos duty and
thought i'd stay back as the dc as it was only gonna
be a half day. dinner wasnt indented and i figured that
if all goes well i'd be in my bed at home sleeping by 3
afterall it wouldnt be that different to me if i left the
camp at 9 or if i left the camp by 1 all the shops still
wouldnt be opened anyway. hence being the good
sergeant that i am, i chose to babysit the platoon
through the day. but as the saying goes (the one by murphy)
anything bad that can happen probably will given time
went again, true as ever on that sad thursday
i had completed standby area by 10 and was waiting
ever since. lunch was delayed, 7 taiwanese generals
at the cookhouse. no go. inspection had to be after
lunch. and inspection attire was in no.4 i smelt a rat already
true to my instincts, after lunch at 1330 we had the
inspection and it was one big flop. so clean somemore
oh and one big strange incident occured during this inspection
i had just fucked edwin. tornadoed his bed and gave him
a dressing down. and my superior gave him a dressing
down too as i had left the mess as it was without giving
him a chance to clear up. he had disobeyed my request
(note i asked him politely as compared to giving him an order)
trice and so i had to put on devil mode. but little did
i know i'd see the rest of his bunkmates laughing behind
his back!!! in fact as i was about to make him feel better
by asking one of them to comfort him after the dressing
down he thanked me for putting edwin in his place!!!!
terrible isnt it to be hated by your friends.
anyway book out was at 3pm. not that bad to me as camp
life is one i really dont mind. but guess what? life was made
even better, i was called back to take my picture as HQ had
misplaced it and as i was making my way back it started to
rain! $#%^^%*$##$!@ it wet my shoes and raped my morale
and i still had to wait! but i guess the blessing in disguise was
the late book out coz some unlucky people who were off since
wednesday had to return from home. so the cameraman came
at five and i was off by 1730. oh well at least i'm home on
thursday as opposed to a friday.
