grinch stole the new year

ok 2 days ago i went out with lionel to chinatown
and there was a lot of human traffic and it was the
perfect place to rub shoulders with all the revellers
so we happened to see lionels platoon sergeant there
as well as some other friends. i figured that it really
is overhyped. CNY that is. i'm not even sure if anyone
really figures out that it really isnt the red packet,
the food or the entertainment. its the people and
family bonding. and then this means that nothing
really applies to me because heck i have interests
which are very different. i find nothing really that
is common to talk about and everytime i tell people
that i appreciate beer, my mother who is a numbskull
neanderthal nun starts preaching and extolling the
values of a good christian boy who has to be oh so
dour and prim and proper that i just cant take it.
i bet if anything, shes been making me more socially
dysfunctional ever since i told myself to bother
listening to her. yep, noone has met anyone who is
really manipulative till they have met my mom.
oh and i should add dumb and removed from this
world too. in short, she's made me the grinch to this
dumb new year which i have no intention of celebrating
with her. and i should add she knows so little that she
actually had us bai nian to our relatives first even
before we wished our parents. preposterous!
just because dad isnt in town she just cant function.
but back to that night going out with lionel. went
to holland v before that and had a glass of the forbidden
fruit at baden. its a really nice beer which even my
uncle appreciates. and i chanced upon adeline and jasmine
there. and i must say i'm really impressed with jas.
she could spot me hiding in a corner just like that
so sharp man her eyes. just like ranger. and ade
didnt even know!!!! she couldnt recognise her classmate!
haha but its alright since i didnt want to attract attention
anyway. wellthat should be somewhat 2days of updates
happy chinese new year!
