don't you hate the truth?

well, i guess i wanna plagiarize from here and here.

Not only is the child of God so completely different from
the world. We can also say that the world cannot possibly
understand him or her. He or she is a riddle to the world.

A real Christian is an odd number. He feels love for One
whom he has never seen; talks with familiarity to Someone
he cannot see; expects to go to heaven on the virtue of
Another; empties himself in order to be full; admits he is
wrong so he can be declared right; goes down in order to get
up; is strongest when he is weakest; richest when he is
poorest; and happiest when he feels the worst. He dies so
he can live, forsakes in order to have; gives away so he
can keep; sees the invisible, hears the inaudible, and
knows that which passes knowledge.

This means there is a big problem with our lifestyle
and profession if the non-Christians around us have no
problems understanding us.

God has revealed so many glorious contradictions in the
lives and conduct of genuine Christian believers that
it is small wonder that we are such an amazement to this
world. The Christian is dead and yet he lives forever.
He died to himself and yet he lives in Christ. The
Christian saves his own life by losing it and he is in
danger of losing it by trying to save it. It is strange
but true that the Christian is strongest when he is weakest
and weakest when he is strongest. When he gets down on his
knees thinking he is weak, he is always strong. The
Christian is in least danger when he is fearful and
trusting God and in the most danger when he feels the most
self-confident. He is most sinless when he feels the
most sinful and he is the most sinful when he feels the
most sinless. The Christian actually has the most when
he is giving away the most; and in all of these ways,
the Christian is simply putting into daily practice the
teachings and example of Jesus Christ, his Savior and Lord!

to some of us, the above is pure nonsense, to others it makes
perfect sense. and i guess even to christians a.w. tozer
must have been a scary guy.

well, the hardest thing about truths is the way they
compel one to act or make a stand. sometimes, that is the
last thing you want to do.

i guess i'll leave confusing all of us again with this
exhortation by a muslim for christians to be more christian.
funny thing, if you think about it logically. can you ask
an apple to be more apple? of course my point isnt as
simplistic as that, but i am trying to show that the bells
and whistles and outward portrayals of individuals are
sometimes far removed from the fundamentals. oh and let
me just for the sake of the nitpickers say; lets look at
the spirit of the meaning of the words in the bible not
just the words in the bible.

muslim seminary professor? hmmmmm i like it already
