debra's birthday

beef, prawns, chicken, salmon, cuttlefish, drinks ... its a wonder i dont get fat

cooking for this ungrateful bunch!

the birthday girl (who owes me big time for my time)

well where diya think it'd end up?

they asked for the nerdy look and contrasted it by playing coy
celebrated deb's birthday with a barbecue feast at
pasir ris park. it was great! (and no its not because
i scored numbers) but its easier to have fun when
things are more spontaneous. i'll let the pictures
speak for themselves.
salsa by the beach
ole! tweaked and metro had a great time at palawan.
the dancers were cool and they were even better
when they danced with you ;) met this cool old but
young at heart couple jack and pat who were already
70+!! but were still lovingly grooving to the salsa beat.
wish i brought a camera. the finals are on sunday
so go there! club islander @ 1830hrs till late.
big breasts and wide hips
ahhhhh shocked the prude in you didn't i?
finished reading Mo yan's thick offering and
i'm feeling glad i was not given to a pampered
start in life. really showed me how too much
affection spoils anybody. and indeed i have also
seen many a woman as hardy as those portrayed
in this book. my respects to you, real life superwomen.
trying red sorghum if i get my hands on it
A god in ruins
Man is a god in ruins.
When men are innocent, life shall be longer and pass
into the immortal as gently as we awake from dreams.
Now the world would be insane and rabid if those
disorganisations should last for hundreds of years.
It is kept in check by DEATH and INFANCY. infancy
is the perpetual messiah when it comes to the arms
of fallen man, and pleads with them to return to paradise.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
and here's another one, kindda like transcendentalism
although the emphasis that we are our own 'buddha'
scares me a little. well here's to something more neutral
to laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent
people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation
of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave
the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden
patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life
has breathed easier because you lived.
this is to have suceeded.
- ralph waldo emerson
scared (and there i go again) that one would be exactly as
what one fears one would be. would such subconscious
dictate what the future would bring as much as ones
concious effort to achieve ones ends?
yishun attack

A man hanging upside down
well here are some pictures of the adventure we had in
SAFRA Yishun. a really beautiful place because its new,
smells good, looks good and has great outdoor adventure
stuff. judge for yourselves. and pardon the narcissistic shots
damn they really dont appear in order but what the heck.
bumping bumping
did i ever tell you that i've been running into ade quite
a lot these days? when i was navin at citilink and lionel
at suntec and all the times when we go out as a group.
so anyway i've bought my timberlands and they look
good with my jeans so far. and they are much more
forgiving on the sole then my leather shoes and they
really give me a good few centimeters on my height too.
that would really gain the envy of a few shorter people;)
we spent today shopping at peoples park complex in
chinatown in which the girls went to buy beads in the
beads shop and then we went to look for more trinklets
after that. predictably as well we got lost since the girls
led the way ;) but it was good and then i left to play
badminton while jon and ade went to jun's place to watch
movies. the guys i played with are about 30 only but
wow they're all wearing knee guards so take care of them
knees people. anyone wanna play badminton in these 3
weeks?
of personal (re)discoveries
i figured that you can't suppress abilities for very long
thus proving that not all are character linked. this sounds
far-fetched but it proved true for a while. but i very happy
that i'm regainning some rudimentry control over my
former ability to effectively speed read, which i lost around
3-4 years ago somewhere in jc.
oh well 3 cheers for denny.
oh and i'd put this up so that when you guys start seeing
that my name is different you wont be too surprised.
for those who know, i'm having strong feelings about
reverting to my original identity, my original, true name.
the decision should be final when i'm 21.
3 weeks of block leave coming up do ask me out
